The Firm:
We are working with an ambitious and growing accountancy and advisory practice with an established presence across the North East and a strong reputation within the regional business community.
The firm has a clear growth strategy and is investing in its people, client offering and leadership team as it continues to develop. With a strong portfolio of privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, the focus is firmly on building long-term relationships and providing clients with more than a traditional compliance service.
Culture is important to the firm. They are looking for people who are commercially minded, collaborative and committed to delivering a high standard of service, while also wanting to play an active role in shaping the future direction of the business.
This is an exciting time to join the practice, with genuine opportunity for an experienced audit professional to take on a senior leadership position and, importantly, develop towards Partnership.
The Role:
This is a senior opportunity for an experienced Audit & Assurance professional at Senior Manager or Director level who is looking for a clear and supported route towards Partnership.
You will take responsibility for a portfolio of audit and assurance clients, providing strong technical leadership while developing trusted relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the wider growth of the office and firm, including:
Leading and overseeing a varied portfolio of audit and assurance assignments.
Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and developing strong, long-term relationships.

Supporting and developing managers and wider audit teams.
Taking an active role in business development, networking and identifying opportunities to grow existing and new client relationships.
Developing relationships with professional intermediaries and the wider regional business community.
Contributing to the strategic development of the audit and assurance offering.
Working closely with other service lines to provide a broader advisory proposition to clients.
Supporting the continued growth and development of the wider team and office.
For the right individual, there is a clear opportunity to progress towards Partnership, with the expectation that they will become an important part of the firm's future leadership team.
Experience Required:
We are keen to speak with experienced audit professionals who are ready for their next step and, in particular, those who are looking for a genuine route to Partner.
You will ideally have:
ACA or ACCA qualification.

Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
A commercial approach and an ability to identify opportunities to support clients beyond the audit.
The confidence to network, develop relationships and contribute to business development.
Leadership potential and the ambition to progress to Partnership.
An existing RI/Director would be of interest, but equally, this could suit a strong Senior Manager who is ready to step into a Director-level position with a clearly defined Partner pathway.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to build something for the long term rather than simply take the next title.
Benefits:
Competitive salary and senior-level package.
Clear and genuine pathway towards Partnership.
Opportunity to play a key role in the firm's continued growth.
Varied and interesting client portfolio.
Supportive and collaborative senior leadership team.
Investment in professional development and ongoing technical training.

Professional membership and relevant qualification costs supported.
Generous holiday entitlement and pension provision.
Additional employee wellbeing and lifestyle benefits.
This is a particularly strong opportunity for an ambitious Audit Senior Manager or existing Director who is ready for a bigger role, greater influence and a clearly defined route to Partnership.
If you are looking for a firm where your contribution will be recognised and where Partnership is a realistic next step rather than a distant possibility, we would be keen to hear from you.
