The Firm:
An established accountancy firm operating across Newcastle and the surrounding region are looking for a Corporate Finance Manager to join their business as they continue to support a growing number of SME and entrepreneurial clients with acquisitions, valuations, business sales, raising finance and strategy. Working in a hands on capacity alongside your Corporate Finance colleagues this role requires an experienced professional who can make an impact from the outset.
The Role:
This opportunity offers something genuinely different for a corporate finance professional who may currently feel like a small cog in a large machine. Joining a well-established but agile corporate finance team, you’ll have the chance to take real ownership, build your own profile, and shape your role — all while remaining part of a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Working closely with the Head of Corporate Finance, you will be involved across the full lifecycle of transactions and advisory engagements. The role combines hands-on deal execution with client-facing responsibility and the opportunity to influence how the team continues to grow.
As a Corporate Finance Manager, you will lead and deliver a wide range of assignments including company disposals, acquisitions, strategic valuations, and fundraising mandates. You will take responsibility for managing projects from initial briefing through to completion, coordinating internal resources and external advisers to ensure smooth delivery.
Your work will include preparing detailed financial models, business plans, and transaction documentation such as information memoranda. You will support clients through complex stages of a transaction, including due diligence, negotiations, and completion, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the process.
A key part of the role will be relationship-driven — developing strong connections with clients, funders, lawyers, and intermediaries, while also helping to identify opportunities for new instructions and repeat work. As the team continues to evolve, you will contribute to its growth by sharing ideas, supporting junior team members, and playing an active role in business development activity.
Experience Required:
We envisage this role would suit an experienced corporate finance professional who brings both strong technical capability and a commercial, client-focused mindset. You will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and confident applying your financial expertise to real-world transactional and advisory situations.
You’ll be comfortable preparing detailed financial models, reports, and client-facing presentations, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to clearly articulate your findings. A natural problem-solver, you’ll enjoy working closely with clients, understanding their objectives, and helping them navigate complex decisions with confidence.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be regularly liaising with clients, funders, legal advisers, and internal stakeholders. You’ll also bring a proactive, motivated approach, enjoying collaboration while being capable of working independently and taking ownership of your projects.
The role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, values visibility, and wants the scope to make a meaningful impact rather than simply delivering a narrow part of a larger process.
Benefits:
This is an opportunity to step into a role that offers genuine influence and visibility within a growing corporate finance team. Rather than being one of many, you’ll have the chance to shape your remit, build your own profile, and be recognised for the contribution you make.
You’ll benefit from exposure to a broad range of high-quality transactions, working directly with experienced leadership and a diverse, entrepreneurial client base. The role offers a balance of autonomy and support, allowing you to develop commercially while continuing to strengthen your technical skillset.
In return, the firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible working, and a culture that encourages progression, innovation, and long-term career development. For someone looking to move away from rigid structures and into a role where their ideas and expertise genuinely matter, this represents a compelling next step.

Working closely with the Partner group, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality tax advice across a varied client base. Your responsibilities will include providing technical oversight, reviewing complex tax matters, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standard. The emphasis of the role lies in delivering advisory solutions — including projects such as IHT planning, R&D claims, and corporate restructuring — as well as supporting Partners with research and strategic input. We appreciate you may not be an expert in both corporate and personal tax, the firm have a number of technical advisors to lean upon, however a preference lies towards private client advisory. In addition, you’ll provide leadership and guidance to the tax team, helping to develop capability and confidence across the department. For those who enjoy client interaction, there is scope to build and nurture client relationships, contribute to planning meetings, and represent the firm at external networking events.
