Within the tax practice, the Investment Partnership Compliance team specialises in supporting private equity and real estate clients with complex partnership tax and reporting requirements. The team is continuing to grow, creating an opportunity for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join a specialist area with significant technical depth and strong links into the wider advisory practice. The Role:
An opportunity for an experienced Partnership Tax Manager or Senior Manager to take a senior role within the specialist Investment Partnership Compliance team. You will work with a portfolio of complex private equity and real estate fund clients, taking responsibility for the quality and delivery of their compliance work while working closely with senior colleagues and wider advisory teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading quality reviews across a portfolio of large and complex fund clients.
Reviewing partnership tax computations and returns.
Overseeing investor reporting and related compliance requirements.
Reviewing General Partner corporate tax returns.
Providing technical guidance to colleagues and supporting the resolution of complex tax matters.
Working with senior team members across people management, financial performance and operational delivery.
Supporting the successful transition of new work into the team.
Helping to develop and improve processes through technology and automation.
Identifying potential advisory opportunities arising from compliance work.
Working closely with wider advisory teams to deliver joined-up solutions for clients.
Supporting the continued development and growth of the Partnership Compliance offering.
Coaching and developing junior members of the team.
There is considerable scope to develop your specialist expertise, take ownership of complex client relationships and play an active role in the continued growth of the team.
Experience Required:
We are looking for an experienced tax professional with a strong background in partnership or fund compliance and the technical capability to operate at Manager or Senior Manager level.
You will ideally have:
ACA, CTA, ATT, AAT or equivalent qualification, although relevant experience will also be considered.
Strong UK tax compliance experience within a professional services environment.
Experience of private equity and/or real estate fund compliance, but not essential.
Strong knowledge of partnership computations and returns.
Experience with investor reporting.
Experience preparing or reviewing General Partner corporate tax returns.
Strong technical and analytical ability.
Experience managing, mentoring and developing team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to manage complex assignments and competing priorities.
A proactive and commercially aware approach.
An interest in technology and finding more efficient ways of delivering compliance services.
The role could suit a Partnership Tax Manager looking for the next step towards Senior Manager, or an established Senior Manager seeking a more specialist platform within fund compliance.
