The Firm:
We are working with a well-established and ambitious professional services firm with a strong regional presence and an increasingly broad client base. The business has built its reputation through long-standing client relationships, high-quality technical advice and a genuinely personal approach. As the practice continues to grow, there is now an opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax professional to join its senior team and play an important role in the next stage of development.
The firm works with a diverse range of successful individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and families, providing advice that goes well beyond traditional compliance.
This is a business that values expertise, commercial thinking and relationships. There is also a strong emphasis on giving senior people the freedom to develop their own networks, build their profile and make a meaningful contribution to the direction of the practice. For the right person, this represents an opportunity to take on a senior leadership position within a growing tax team, with the option to join at Director or Partner level, depending on experience.
The Role:
This is a senior opportunity for a Private Client Tax professional who wants to take ownership of their client relationships, develop their market profile and play a key role in growing the private client offering.
Working closely with the wider tax and advisory teams, you will advise a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, business owners and families, while also identifying opportunities to broaden relationships and introduce additional services where appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a senior adviser to a portfolio of private clients and their wider family interests.
Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their professional advisers.
Providing high-quality advice across a range of private client tax matters.
Taking responsibility for the delivery, commercial management and quality of client assignments.
Identifying opportunities to develop existing relationships and win new work.
Developing relationships with lawyers, financial advisers, accountants and other professional intermediaries.
Raising your profile within the regional market and becoming a recognised point of expertise.
Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the tax team.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across tax, accounts, audit and wider advisory services.
Contributing to the development and future direction of the Private Client Tax offering.
For an individual joining at Partner level, there will be scope to take a leading role in the continued growth of the service line and wider business.
For a strong Senior Manager or Director, this could provide the opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with the autonomy and platform needed to progress towards Partnership.
Experience Required:
We are keen to hear from established Private Client Tax professionals who are looking for greater influence, responsibility and the opportunity to build something of their own.
Ideally, you will have:
CTA qualification or an equivalent professional qualification.
Strong experience within a professional practice environment.
A proven background in Private Client Tax.
Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and/or families.
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide commercially focused advice.
Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
The confidence to develop your own network and generate new business.
Experience working with professional intermediaries and referral partners.
The ability to lead, influence and develop others.
A strong commercial mindset and an interest in contributing to the wider growth of a business.
This role could suit an existing Tax Director or Partner looking for a new platform, as well as a strong Senior Manager ready to make the move into a Director-level position with genuine scope to progress.
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys working closely with clients, has a strong professional profile and wants the opportunity to have a visible impact on the future direction of a growing practice.
Benefits:
Competitive senior-level salary and package.
Opportunity to join at Director or Partner level, depending on experience.
Genuine scope to develop your market profile and client portfolio.
Significant opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Private Client Tax offering.
Supportive and collaborative senior leadership environment.
Investment in professional development and technical training.
Flexible working arrangements.
Generous annual leave entitlement.
Pension and wider employee benefits.
If you are an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking for a role where you can have genuine influence, build strong client relationships and play a significant part in the next stage of a firm's growth, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
