The Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality work across a varied client portfolio. Your focus will be on the preparation of year-end accounts for a broad mix of entities, including limited companies, LLPs, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and charities, working in line with FRS 102 and other relevant standards.
Alongside accounts preparation, you will be involved in drafting corporation tax computations and returns, as well as self-assessment returns. There is also scope to review the work of junior team members, support their development, and help resolve technical queries before files are submitted for Partner review.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, gaining exposure to a wide range of client work, and for those with audit experience or an interest in developing it further, there is opportunity to become involved in audit assignments.
Experience Required:
ACCA or ACA qualified, qualified by experience, or in the final stages of qualification
Strong experience preparing statutory accounts for a varied client base
Confident drafting corporation tax and personal tax returns
Comfortable supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
Familiarity with accounting and tax software such as CCH, Xero, QuickBooks or Sage (or similar)
Organised, adaptable and confident working within a team environment
