The Role:

As a Private Client Tax Associate Director, you will take ownership of a significant client portfolio, using your technical expertise to provide first-class tax advisory services.

You will act as the trusted advisor, developing strong relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for growth, both within your portfolio and beyond. This role offers genuine influence – not only in shaping client outcomes but also in mentoring and developing the team around you.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading private client advisory engagements and providing clear, commercially viable tax solutions.

  • Developing new business opportunities and contributing to the firm’s wider growth strategy.

  • Ensuring client service excellence is consistently delivered across your team.

  • Supporting and guiding colleagues, helping to shape the next generation of tax talent.

This role would suit an ambitious Senior Manager ready to take the step up or an existing Associate Director looking for a fresh challenge.

Experience Required:

We are seeking a tax professional with:

  • Extensive private client tax experience gained within a professional practice environment.

  • Technical expertise in current private client tax issues with a committment to keeping your knowledge current.

  • A proven track record in delivering advisory projects and building client relationships.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • ACA and/or CTA qualification.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide high-quality advice to entrepreneurial clients, SMEs and OMBs.

  • The drive to maintain technical excellence while also developing people and contributing to business strategy.
