With an established audit department continuing to grow, the firm is now seeking to strengthen its leadership team through the appointment of an Audit Director.

The Role:
As Audit Director, you will play a key role in the continued growth and development of the audit function, leading a portfolio of corporate audit clients while helping shape the future direction of the department.
Working closely with the Partners and wider leadership team, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality audit assignments, ensuring compliance with professional standards while maintaining a commercial and client-focused approach. You will be responsible for managing key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to further support clients as their businesses evolve.
Alongside client delivery, you will provide leadership to the audit team, mentoring and developing managers and senior staff, supporting succession planning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You will also play an important role in business development activities, helping to raise the firm's profile, win new work and contribute towards the firm's strategic growth plans. This is a highly visible position offering genuine influence and the opportunity to help shape the future of the practice.
Experience Required:
We are keen to speak with experienced audit professionals who are either currently operating at Director level or are ready to step into a more senior leadership role.
Applicants should:
Hold ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualifications
Possess Responsible Individual (RI) status or be actively working towards obtaining RI status
Have significant experience leading statutory audits for corporate clients within an accountancy practice environment
Demonstrate strong technical audit knowledge and an excellent understanding of regulatory requirements
Have experience managing and developing teams, providing leadership and mentoring to support career progression
Be confident managing senior client relationships and acting as a trusted business advisor
Demonstrate commercial awareness and an ability to identify opportunities for business growth and service development
Whilst candidates with two or more years' RI experience are particularly attractive, the firm is open to considering individuals at different stages of their RI journey who can demonstrate the ambition and capability to progress into a future Partner role.
