The Role:

Joining an established Accounting & Business Advisory team, you will support a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients across a range of sectors, providing high-quality accounting services and building trusted client relationships.

Working alongside experienced Managers, you will be responsible for preparing year-end statutory accounts, monthly and quarterly management accounts and drafting corporation tax computations. You will also support clients with day-to-day accounting queries, liaise with HMRC where appropriate and gain exposure to wider business advisory work as your experience develops.

The role offers excellent variety and client contact, with the opportunity to work alongside colleagues across multiple offices and broaden your experience within a growing regional practice.

Experience Required:

Applications are welcomed from candidates who are either AAT qualified with a minimum of three years' experience in an accountancy practice, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified with similar practice experience.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience preparing statutory accounts for SME clients within practice.

  • Experience producing management accounts.

  • An understanding of corporation tax computations.

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to develop client relationships.

  • A proactive attitude and genuine desire to continue learning and developing professionally.

  • Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous.
