The Role:

As an Accounts Senior, you’ll work closely with your colleagues to deliver high-quality accounting services to a varied portfolio of SME clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies

  • Completing corporation and personal tax returns

  • Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts

  • Reviewing VAT returns and supporting clients with bookkeeping queries

  • Supporting the training and mentoring of junior staff

  • Liaising directly with clients, managing queries, and building long-term relationships

  • Using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and IRIS

This is a hands-on role offering variety and autonomy, with support to continue your professional development.

Experience Required:

  • AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience

  • Minimum of 3 years working in a UK accountancy firm

  • Confident preparing statutory accounts and tax returns

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload

  • A good communicator who enjoys working closely with clients and supporting colleagues
