The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional seeking exposure to both audit and accounts work within a varied client portfolio.
Working closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners, you will assist in the planning and completion of audit assignments for a range of corporate clients across multiple sectors. Alongside audit work, you will be involved in the preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, gaining broad exposure to general practice services.
You will have regular client contact, both on-site and remotely, helping to build strong professional relationships while developing your technical knowledge and commercial understanding.
As your experience grows, you will be given increasing responsibility for managing assignments, supporting junior team members and contributing to the successful delivery of client work.
Experience Required:
Applicants should have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment, ideally within an audit and accounts role.
You will typically:
Be studying towards ACA or ACCA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
Have experience assisting with audit assignments and accounts preparation
Possess a good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Be comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels

The Role:
With a minimum of two years’ current/recent practice experience and ready for a new challenge, this will suit either those AAT Qualified/finalist or commenced ACA/ACCA studies. Your main tasks include being involved in audit assignments in and out of the office, preparing accounts and business tax computations.
Assisting in audit assignments for a wide variety of business sectors
Undertake smaller, less complex audit assignments on-site (initially as you develop your knowledge) ensuring work is completed efficiently.
Assist on larger audit engagements, supporting senior team members and completing allocated sections thoroughly
Plan, execute, and document audit tests in line with agreed methodologies
Work closely with clients, raising and clearing queries effectively
Complete audit files to a stage agreed with the assignment lead
Working within the accounts team you will help service a portfolio of clients, dealing with year-end and other ad-hoc issues throughout the year
Experience Required:
Minimum of two years’ proven experience in accountancy practice in an audit role or multi disciplined role
An understanding of the fundamentals of year end accounts preparation and auditing specifically to FRS102 & UK GAAP.
AAT qualified/finalist as a minimum or may have commenced ACCA/ACA studies
Focused on meeting deadlines through effective time management and organisational skills
Proficient and confident with IT and accounting systems
Motivated and committed to provide an excellent service to both clients and colleagues
Enthusiastic and desire to succeed

A Billingham based accountancy firm are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to join their ever expanding team. The firm offer a suite of services which range from accountancy, tax and financial planning providing the client with all their needs under one firm.
The Role:
The role will focus on the completion of accounts for their clients which are mainly LLP’s and will include all corporate and personal tax matters, with client contact varying significantly based on individual client demand. The Senior Accountant will provide guidance and support to the more junior members in the team still training and also offers those who enjoy this element of their role to get further involved in staff management.
With this being a small firm you will enjoy a 360 encompassing role with all aspects of accounting.
You will get to manage and build relations with a variety of ultra-high net worth clients whilst always providing outstanding service.
Preparing accounts and tax returns for mainly LLP accounts (experience not essential with LLP’s) as well as Limited companies.
Handling account queries.
Ensuring financial statements and records are accurate and comply with laws and regulations
Preparation and analysis of client’s financial records, including data management, analysis and consultation.
Giving accounting advice to clients.
Liaising with HMRC.
Supporting the practice manager in the reviewing and signing off of accounts
Experience required:
Working in an open plan office we are keen to find a team player who is qualified (ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience with practical UK accounting experience from an accountancy firm. You will be familiar with the use of cloud based accountancy packages, whether that be Xero or Quickbooks or Sage.

They have ample parking available at their offices and work Monday through to Friday 9 – 5 although there is flexibility on this if required for your personal circumstances.
