As part of their continued growth, they are looking for an accomplished VAT specialist to take ownership of high-profile projects, help lead a talented team, and act as a trusted advisor to clients on a wide range of complex and high-value matters.

The Role:

  • Lead the delivery of VAT services across a varied client base, ensuring technical excellence and commercial insight.

  • Manage and mentor a dedicated team of VAT professionals, developing their expertise and supporting their career progression.

  • Advise on domestic and international VAT matters, providing strategic guidance to minimise risk and optimise tax efficiency.

  • Oversee complex VAT compliance and advisory assignments, from initial scoping to delivery.

  • Keep clients and colleagues informed of legislative changes, translating technical updates into clear, actionable advice.

  • Collaborate with other departments to offer joined-up, value-added solutions.

  • Contribute to business development by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting proposals.

  • Champion process improvements to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.

Experience Required:

  • Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with extensive experience in VAT consultancy and compliance.

  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.

  • Strong track record of advising on complex VAT issues for a broad range of clients, ideally including international operations.

  • Commercially minded with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to present technical matters clearly to both clients and colleagues.

  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
