The Firm:
A well established firm with a strong local team of tax and accountancy professionals servicing the SME market across Newcastle are looking to appoint a Tax Assistant Manager with expertise in Trusts. They have created successful year on year growth testament to the teams strong technical knowledge, client relationships and a great work ethic and culture.
The Role:
Working within the tax team specialising in trusts you will be responsible for the delivery of tax services to a portfolio of Trust clients. This will include ensuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computations. You will be required to identify potential planning possibilities, working with the Tax Partner to assist your clients advisory needs. Preparing client reports and dealing with the day to day ad-hoc questions and enquiries in respect of the trust tax affairs.
Experience Required:
The successful applicant must hold one of the following: ACA/ ACCA /CTA / STEP or equivalent
Good trusts knowledge developed though working in professional services
Competent understanding of personal tax compliance and preferably some exposure to planning and advisory work
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and staff.
