The Role:
As a Client Advisory Manager, (qualified by experience, part or fully qualified), you will manage a portfolio of around 100–130 clients, becoming a trusted partner in their business journey. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering significant client interaction and the opportunity to make a genuine impact. The role requires you to be able to provide advisory services to your clients with the support of a team to deliver on compliance elements.
You will be responsible for:
Managing a portfolio of small to medium size business clients across multiple sectors
Regularly engaging with clients to understand their needs and provide proactive advice from onboarding through to final accounts meetings.
Small element of preparing year-end accounts, with more emphasis upon review.
Providing management information and business insights to your clients on their business activity
Onboarding new clients and training them on systems such as Xero and Dext
Keeping up to date with accounting and tax legislation
Advising clients on financial control, reporting, and forecasting
Supporting apprentices and junior staff within the team
Attending regular client meetings
Business development, attending network events to create awareness, network and build your portfolio
Experience Required:
Qualified by experience or ACCA//ICAEW qualified. AAT qualfied as a minimum
Minimum 5 years’ UK based accountancy practice experience
Confident in managing client relationships and providing business advice
Strong people skills with a desire to want to spend a large part of your day communicating with clients and forging trusting relationships
Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero
Competent with full statutory accounts preparation and review
Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets with strong analytical ability
Organised, adaptable, and confident in decision-making
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
