The Firm:

Our client is a large, highly regarded professional services firm with a strong national presence and an enviable client portfolio. Known for delivering high-quality audit and advisory services, the firm works with a broad range of businesses across multiple sectors and continues to strengthen its position as a market leader.

As part of its ongoing growth strategy, the firm is now looking to appoint an Audit Partner to play a key role in developing its presence across the North East. This is a strategic appointment, offering the opportunity to join an established leadership team while contributing to the next phase of the firm’s regional expansion.

The Role:

This is a market-facing leadership position suited to a commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships and developing new opportunities.

You will work closely with the existing Partner group to drive growth across the audit service line, strengthening client relationships while identifying and securing new work. Alongside managing key client engagements, you will be highly visible in the local marketplace, developing your network and representing the firm across the business community.

The role will involve:

  • Leading and developing a portfolio of audit clients across a variety of sectors

  • Driving new business activity and supporting the continued growth of the firm in the region

  • Acting as a trusted adviser to business owners and senior leadership teams

  • Contributing to the development of the wider audit team and supporting future leaders

  • Working closely with fellow Partners to shape the strategic direction of the service line

This is a forward-facing role that requires a confident communicator who is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and representing the firm externally.

Experience Required:

The firm is keen to speak with individuals who have a strong reputation within the regional marketplace and a proven track record of developing client relationships and winning work.

Typically, candidates will demonstrate:

  • A professional qualification (ACA or equivalent) / RI

  • Significant experience within audit leadership roles, most likely gained within a large regional, mid-tier or national firm

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth opportunities

  • A confident and engaging style, with the presence to lead client conversations and represent the firm in the market

  • The ability to build trusted relationships with entrepreneurial business owners as well as larger organisations

The firm would also consider an existing Audit Partner who brings an established client following and is looking for a new platform to further develop their portfolio.

Benefits:

This is a high-profile role offering genuine influence and the chance to shape the firm’s future growth in the region. It will suit an ambitious individual who enjoys building relationships, winning work and playing a visible role in the local business community.

A highly competitive remuneration package is available, aligned to the seniority and strategic importance of the appointment.
