The Role:
As part of the growing accounts and outsourcing service to clients, you’ll work closely with clients and their finance teams, helping them manage their year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud accounting requirements. You’ll provide practical advice and tailored solutions that add real value, while developing your technical skills and commercial awareness.
The role is varied and hands-on. As your experience grows, you’ll have the chance to get involved in ad-hoc projects such as implementing new software, carrying out system ‘health-checks’, or even short-term secondments to support a client’s finance function. You’ll also benefit from structured internal training and support from a highly experienced and ambitious leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients.
Providing bookkeeping support and guidance on cloud accounting software.
Building strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted point of contact for queries.
Advising on ways to improve efficiencies and streamline financial processes.
Prioritising and managing your workload effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Supporting senior team members on larger or more complex client assignments.
Experience Required:
You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working closely with clients, and be confident in explaining financial matters clearly.
Experience in a similar practice role is essential with a minimum 2 years practice experience.
A good working knowledge of cloud accounting systems such as Xero and Quickbooks.
You will be AAT qualified as a minimum (or equivalent) and committed to completing your ACCA/ACA studies.
Hold a passion for working with businesses and a enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
You’ll be adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to take on early responsibility in a supportive, professional environment.
