The Firm:

We are delighted to be working with a leading international professional services firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advisory, accounting, and business support services to clients across the UK and internationally.

With continued growth in its accounting & financial reporting team, the firm is investing in its North East team to support an expanding portfolio of clients ranging from fast-growing businesses to established international groups operating across a variety of sectors.

The business is recognised for its collaborative culture, commitment to professional development, and investment in technology, enabling its teams to deliver innovative and efficient solutions to clients.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant to join a growing Outsourcing team in a client-facing role that offers genuine variety and exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses.

You'll work closely with clients, becoming a trusted extension of their finance function, while developing your own leadership skills through supervising junior team members and managing key client relationships.

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality finance function support and management accounting services. Working closely with businesses across a range of sectors, you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of management accounts, VAT returns, and other key financial reporting requirements.

Alongside managing client deliverables, you will supervise and support junior team members, reviewing work, providing guidance, and helping to develop their technical and professional skills.

You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, resolving finance function challenges, and ensuring clients receive a responsive, high-quality service. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, identify efficiencies, and support the ongoing development of the team.

Experience Required:

We are keen to speak with proactive and commercially aware accounting professionals who enjoy working closely with clients and building strong working relationships.

You will ideally:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience

  • Have experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns

  • Be comfortable working with a variety of accounting software packages and financial systems

  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Have experience reviewing work or supporting the development of junior colleagues

  • Be client-focused, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Enjoy identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

My client is open to considering candidates at either Supervisor or Assistant Manager level, depending on experience and qualifications, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to progress their career within a supportive and highly respected environment.

Benefits:

This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-resourced team within a highly respected firm that continues to invest heavily in its people, technology, and service offerings.

You'll benefit from flexible and hybrid working, structured career development, professional study support where applicable, and the chance to work with an impressive and varied client portfolio. Most importantly, you'll join a business that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and helping its people achieve their full potential.

Both hybrid and flexible working are available, generously holiday with the option to purchase extra days. There are also a number of lifestyle benefits available to all employees.
