They are looking for an Accountant to join their team, supporting with general practice accounting.
The Role:
Working within the accounting & business support team, you’ll prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients, including limited companies, LLPs, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and charities, in line with FRS102 and other relevant standards.
You’ll also be involved in preparing corporation tax as well as self-assessment tax returns with supporting computations, while contributing to the development of junior team members. As your experience grows, you’ll have the opportunity to review work, resolve technical queries, and play a key part in delivering a high-quality service to clients. Should your experience or interest lend towards audit you will also have the opportunity to support on a number of audit assignments.
Experience Required:
AAT qualified, Part qualified ACA/ACCA (support provided) or qualified by experience
3 years minimum UK experience working in an accounting practice with exposure to clients as well as preparing first stage year end statutory accounts for review.
Corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax compliance
Good working knowledge of CCH and Xero, Quickbooks or Sage
External audit experience desirable yet not essential
Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge relationships with clients quickly working to a stage where they see you as their trusted advisor.
Knowledge of current accounting standards, techniques and best practice.
