The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Corporate Tax Manager (or an experienced Tax Manager ready to step up) to join a highly regarded tax team.
You will take ownership of your own portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing compliance while playing a key role in delivering advisory services alongside the Tax Partners. In addition, you will support the day-to-day management of the team, helping to plan workflow, mentor junior staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
This is a varied and commercially focused role, offering the opportunity to build strong client relationships, contribute to business development activities and play a key part in the continued growth of the tax function.
Experience required:
The successful candidate will:
Be CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualified (or equivalent)
Have experience in corporate or mixed tax within an accountancy practice
Be operating at Manager level or above, or ready to step into a Senior Manager role
Have strong technical knowledge and enjoy working on complex tax matters
Be confident managing client relationships and delivering a high level of service
Have experience working with SME clients
Be proactive, commercially aware and keen to contribute to team development

The Role:
As an Audit Senior you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients as you support the Audit Manager to ensure client satisfaction is at the forefront, forging good client relationships you will get to work with a large variety of businesses whilst ensuring that the delivery of audit to target and budget is achieved.
You will be involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, predominantly on client site, taking responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate and sufficient documentation.
You will prepare statutory financial statements from client data, bringing to attention any level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner whilst using a significant degree of your own judgement.
You will also plan the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for Partner review.
Experience Required:
We are seeking a qualified Accountant either ACA, CA, ACCA with UK based audit experience and working knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP. You will have gained audit experience during your training either in a pure audit department or mixed audit and accounting environment. You will be comfortable working with a variety of industries and coaching more junior members of the team. Whether you are newly qualified or holding more experience and seeking some future progression this role can tailor to your needs.

The Firm:
With a growing demand for private client tax services this accountancy practice close to Bishop Auckland are looking to appoint a Tax Senior to join their team. Based in their office on a day to day basis you would support the Tax Partner with the overall delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for the practice.
The Role:
Completion, preparation and filing of a wide range of income tax returns for Directors, HNWI’s, Partnerships and Sole Traders
Supporting the Tax Partner with tax planning, provision of day to day advice on all aspects of personal taxation and OMB, including tax codings, capital gains, inheritance tax, capital allowances, self assessment liabilities, payments on account and payroll queries
Dealing with personal tax and OMB clients face to face in meetings and via telephone to discuss a wide range of tax issues
Dealing with HMRC regarding penalty appeals, interest objections, enquiries, adjustments and general day to day issues.
Experience required:
A minimum of 2- 3 years experience completing personal tax returns in a professional services environment
A working knowledge of CCH or similar tax software
Enjoy liaising with clients both on the telephone and in face to face meetings
A strong communicator verbally and with excellent report writing skills
Organised to be able to ensure deadlines for reporting requirements are met
Able to use your own initiative to explore planning research projects
ATT qualified or part-qualified would be desirable
