The Firm:
A Darlington based accountancy firm with a strong network of local clients built on developing long-lasting client relationships are looking to appoint a Tax Senior to their firm to support on both compliance and advisory. A modern firm, yet one with a long history makes this a great move for those who like to work with well established procedures in place and strong values at the heart of everything they do.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for their own mixed portfolio of Personal & Corporate clients, whilst also providing ad-hoc support to the Partners on interesting advisory based projects.
The role can be accommodating for those with pure corporate experience and can also evolve into a mixed role for those keen to widen their tax experience.
The role will primarily consist of providing tax compliance services to an interesting mix of clients and gaining greater exposure to advisory and consultancy work.
It will also see you involved with R&D report submission, tax enquiries, group restructures, and personal tax matters such as IHT.
Experience Required:
The ideal candiadate will be ATT qualified and/or CTA part or fully qualified.
Minimum of 12 months relevant UK corporate tax compliance experience. This can have been gained in a mixed accounting role where you now wish to focus on pure tax.
Personal tax compliance experience is desirable, not essential.
An interest in gaining more advisory and planning experience.
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral with an interest to develop key client relationships.
Right to work in the UK.
Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Practical experience working with tax software.
