The Role:

This is a newly created position to support the Finance Manager with the day-to-day accounting for the business. It offers a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone looking for responsibility and variety, and able to use their experience to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily finance operations, including purchase ledger entry, bank reconciliations, and issuing VAT receipts.

  • Prepare invoices and assist with credit control across multiple entities.

  • Assist with calculating WIP and trade debtor provisions in liaison with managers and directors.

  • Manage supplier reconciliations, payment runs, and respond to creditor queries.

  • Prepare production hour/utilisation reports and analyse variances against budgets.

  • Support the preparation of monthly management information to meet reporting deadlines.

  • Holiday cover support with cashflow and payroll .

Experience Required:

  • We are seeking a candidate who is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience, with a broad accounting background in finance or management accounting ideally within multi-entity group reporting.

  • Applicants must have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable delivering key finance tasks such as credit control.

  • This position would suit someone transitioning from practice into industry looking for their first In-house role.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels are essential.

  • Strong IT skills including advanced Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) and Word (for integrated reporting)

  • A organised individual with good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
