The Firm:
Our client is a well-established national accountancy and advisory firm with a strong reputation across the UK. Having built significant success nationally, the firm is now investing in expanding its presence in the North East, creating an exciting opportunity to join a growing local team at an early stage as an Accounts Senior.

You will join with a ready-made portfolio of clients, working alongside an experienced leadership team as they continue to grow the office and build a strong regional presence.
The Role:
As an Accounts Senior, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of accounting and business services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
You will be responsible for preparing high-quality financial information and ensuring clients receive a reliable and professional service. Alongside your own client work, you will also support the wider team as the office continues to grow.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing management accounts and year-end statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients
Completing VAT returns and supporting tax computations where required
Maintaining accurate working papers and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Acting as a day-to-day contact for clients, responding to queries and building strong relationships
Supporting junior team members and assisting with the review process where appropriate
Identifying ways to improve processes and make effective use of accounting systems

Experience Required:
The firm are keen to speak with candidates who have experience working within UK accountancy practice, ideally within an accounts or business services team and are hungry for a new challenge.
Typically, you will have:
A minimum of 3 years experience in practice
A good understanding of accounts preparation and client delivery
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar systems
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Applicants must have a right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available
You will ideally be AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified (or close to qualification).
