The Firm:

Our client is a well-established regional accountancy firm that has enjoyed a period of rapid growth and significant client wins. With an expanding portfolio of owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients, the firm continues to strengthen its presence across the region.

As part of this growth, they are now looking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their expanding local office. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, gaining exposure to a varied client base while continuing to develop your technical skills within practice. Applications are open to full or part-time working hour arrangements.

The Role:

Working within the accounts team, you will support the preparation and delivery of accounting services to a broad range of clients including limited companies, partnerships and LLPs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory year-end accounts and supporting working papers

  • Producing management accounts for a portfolio of clients

  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns

  • Drafting corporation tax computations and CT600 returns

  • Preparing reports highlighting key financial information, business issues and controls

  • Liaising directly with clients and other stakeholders to gather information and respond to queries

This is a varied role that offers excellent exposure across general practice accounting while allowing you to develop client relationships and broaden your experience.

Experience Required:

  • AAT qualification or be part-qualified ACA/ACCA

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar accounts role within practice

  • A professional and organised approach to your work

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
