The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to take on a varied and visible role within a progressive firm. You’ll play a key part in shaping how accounting services are delivered, working with a broad portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.

You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of client assignments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounts and an outstanding client experience. Working closely with senior managers and partners, you will oversee year-end accounts processes, ensuring all work meets relevant reporting standards.

Alongside your client responsibilities, you will lead, coach, and develop a team—allocating work, reviewing output, and supporting ongoing development through regular feedback and appraisals. You will also play a key role in monitoring workflow, managing deadlines and budgets, and overseeing billing across your portfolio.

You will also build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact and supporting them with practical accounting and commercial insight.

Experience Required:

You will ideally:

  • Be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong experience in practice

  • Have a proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors

  • Demonstrate experience of leading, mentoring, and developing team members

  • Be technically strong, with a keen eye for detail and quality

  • Be comfortable building client relationships and providing commercial insight

  • Have an interest in process improvement, innovation, and the use of technology
