The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the firm in a varied and engaging role, offering exposure to a broad client base including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders and charities. You will be involved in both accounts preparation and audit work, with the opportunity to lead assignments and build strong relationships with clients across the region.

The role will involve visiting client sites across the North East, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a client-facing, hands-on position.

Experience Required:

  • ACA / ACCA / AAT qualified or finalist, or qualified by experience

  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice

  • Have strong technical knowledge and be up to date with current legislation

  • Have experience preparing year-end accounts for owner-managed businesses

  • Have experience in statutory audit and leading audit assignments

  • Be confident working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities

  • Be proactive, driven and committed to delivering high levels of client service

  • Have good knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks

  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ideally hold a full driving licence and have access to a car

  • Experience in charity accounts, charity audits or Solicitors Accounts Rules would be beneficial but is not essential.
