As they continue to grow, they are looking to appoint a Tax Director to take an active role in the leadership of the office—overseeing both advisory and compliance services through a talented team, and contributing to the firm’s ongoing success and strategic direction.

The Role:

You will oversee the offices tax services, leading a skilled team responsible for the delivery of compliance work while maintaining a strong focus on advisory projects. Working closely with the Partner group, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality tax advice across a varied client base.

Your responsibilities will include providing technical oversight, reviewing complex tax matters, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standard. The emphasis of the role lies in delivering advisory solutions — including projects such as IHT planning, R&D claims, and corporate restructuring — as well as supporting Partners with research and strategic input. We appreciate you may not be an expert in both corporate and personal tax, the firm have a number of technical advisors to lean upon, however a preference lies towards private client advisory.

In addition, you’ll provide leadership and guidance to the tax team, helping to develop capability and confidence across the department. For those who enjoy client interaction, there is scope to build and nurture client relationships, contribute to planning meetings, and represent the firm at external networking events.

Experience required:

As a qualified tax and or Accountant (CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA ) you will have a career that demonstrates your compliance and advisory skills in either a mixed tax or private client capacity with exposure to a range of tax issues operating at either Director or Senior Manager level within practice.

Knowledge of specialist tax areas such as IHT, trusts, residency, and or corporate reorganisations is desired.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader and therefore require someone with the ability to make decisions, influence, build rapport gaining trust, show initiative, drive and ultimately lead a team effectively. The prospects to progress on from Director are very available for the right person.
