The Firm:

An International professional services firm with a highly regarded private wealth team are looking to appoint an experienced Trusts Manager to support their growing network of clients with both compliance and advisory services for their trust affairs. This opportunity has the flexibility be remote or office based with a minimum requirement to attend one of their offices across the UK (situated from Edinburgh to Plymouth) once or twice each month.

The Role:

In this role, you will take ownership of your own portfolio, preparing trust accounts and personal/trust returns for review, as well as carrying out peer reviews. You’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day trust matters, working closely with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates to ensure everything runs smoothly. This includes managing engagement letters, agreeing fees, and overseeing billing.

Alongside your own work, you’ll play an active part in supporting colleagues across the trust and tax team with the wider management of client affairs, while also getting involved in charities and small business accounts and related compliance.

For those who wish to get involved in networking and business development, opportunities are freely open, however there is sufficient workload making this optional rather than a requirement to the position.

Experience Required:

  • Expertise in the field of trust accounts preparation.

  • Either qualified by experience or ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified.

  • Experience working with HNWI, able to build client relationships and provide advise on trust mattters.

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team colloborating with others.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently across all channels

  • Knowledge of current accounting standards, techniques and best practice.

  • Familiar with CCH Trust accounts, Excel and Word.
