The Firm:
A professional services firm with a very fast growing client base on the outskirts of Gateshead south of the Tyne are looking to welcome a Tax Senior to their Tax service line. Working as part of a modern and expanding team this is an exciting time to join the business working with local SME businesses.
The Role:
As part of a small tax team you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients for whom you will converse with both over the telephone, by email and in person on occasion. As first point of contact you will be responsible for managing the clients tax affairs from start to finish.
Working in a hands on capacity you will prepare self-assessment tax returns using CCH Personal Tax software ensuring your clients remains compliant with all relevant tax law.
Regular liaison ith HMRC dealing with queries on behalf of your clients and making sure you complete returns accurately and timely.
The team work collaboratively both in tax and with the accounts department to ensure clients needs are met in their entirety.
Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years experience of working in a personal tax environment within practice
Preferably ATT qualified (or part-qualified) with experience working with UK tax legislation
Excellent communication skills, confidence in speaking to clients face to face and over the telephone.
Strong IT skills with particular experience working with CCH
Able to manage priorities, deadlines and multiple projects at one time
