The Role:
Joining as an Accounts Senior you will take full responsibility for your own portfolio of SME and Owner Managed Businesses, acting as the first point of contact on a day to day basis for your client needs.
With support and guidance from your Manager only when needed, you will be given the freedom to build trusting relationships with business owners, providing them with daily support and advice. As you start to prepare more complex annual statutory accounts you will be able to assess performance, making recommendations to the Partner on best practice.
As part of a team effort you will be expected to play your role in ensuring deadlines are met and profitability targets are achieved. Likewise as a Senior your role will include support and mentoring, working with more junior members in the team.
As a strong communicator you will get to liaise across a number of departments and staff members throughout the business with the chance to raise your profile and elevate your own personal development.
You will be expected as a Senior to ensure accurate chargeable hours are recorded, and that utilisation budgets are achieved in order to bill accordingly.
Experience Required:
ACA/ACCA/qualified (or by experience)
Currently working or with previous experience in a similar role in the profession working to UK accounting standards
Client management skills
Ability to work with autonomy whilst preparing complex statutory accounts
