Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant Manager

With a strong portfolio of Owner Managed Businesses and corporate clients this Newcastle based accountancy firm enjoy a varied and diverse mix of corporate tax advisory and compliance work and are looking to appoint a Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to help with the delivery.

Joining an experienced team of corporate tax specialists there is plenty of resource and expertise to support your continued learning, both from Senior Management and Partner level.

We are looking for a Corporate Tax Senior or Corporate Tax Assistant Manager who can bring to the role a minimum of two years corporate tax practical experience ad preferably ATT qualified either working towards your CTA or newly qualified.

The Detail

• You will be responsible for assisting the Tax Manager to ensure all tax compliance work is completed timely and accurately which will include support to the Juniors with their work as well as preparing your own returns and tax computations.
• Obtaining missing information from clients and third parties.
• Advising clients on corporation tax liabilities as they become due.
• Electronically filing tax returns.
• Preparing and amending or approving letters and emails to HMRC and clients for approval.
• Drafting replies to client or third party correspondence, seeking further input as appropriate
• Monitoring and requesting budgets for the work that you are doing.
• Working with the Manager to seek new opportunities to increase client billings.
• Assisting in enquiries raised by HMRC
• You will be expected to take part in a range of development activities and keep your training and knowledge current.
• You will also seek out opportunities to further develop your knowledge to keep up to date with legislation and best practice.
• Working with the Partner and Senior Manager on a number of advisory projects including client meetings and required research.
