Assistant Corporate Tax Manager

We are looking for a qualified Tax Advisor (CTA) or qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) who can take ownership of a varied client portfolio for this large Newcastle based accounting practice in their tax team.

Your primary responsibility will be compliance and advisory focused, supporting the Directors with ad-hoc advisory client work as well as managing complex compliance cases.

You will be expected to maintain regular contact with your clients, developing relationships and future advisory opportunities. This will require both a commercial mindset, technical knowledge and the ability to forge close working relationships where your clients feel they can trust you.

The position offers plenty of development, working with both more juniors supporting their knowledge as well as being involved in Partner projects that will further expose your technical learning and softer skills.

Working with both OMB’s and SME’s you will play an important role in ensuring the team deliver on compliance both accurately, to time and within budget.

There will be plenty of scope to get involved in external seminars, network events and help the Partners with marketing activities for the firm, all aspects that will enhance your enjoyment and exposure within  the practice. The firm are very good at ensuring all staff feel part of a team and are able to contribute to the overall growth of the practice.

The successful Assistant Tax Manager may be operating as a Senior in a large firm or a Manager in a smaller firm, all interest is welcomed as long as you can demonstrate your current corporate tax knowledge and hunger to be part of a progressive and ambitious firm.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis or full-time in the office to suit.
