Accounts Senior – Healthcare

A successful accounting firm based in Newcastle are offering an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Senior from the profession to specialise in looking after a portfolio of their medical clients.

This is an interesting role where you will be part of a specialist team preparing year end statutory accounts for both small and medium sized businesses along with preparing partnership accounts for GP practices and other healthcare related businesses.

You will also be responsible for the completion of VAT returns and bookkeeping using a range of accounts software and cloud packages. 

With ideally a minimum of 2-3 years experience working in an accounting practice you will be AAT qualified (Level 3 minimum) or already on your way to studying your ACCA/ACA exams and like the appeal of developing your knowledge in a niche area.

Whilst previous knowledge, experience or an interest in the healthcare sector is desirable full sector training can be given. You must however be able to prepare a set of basic accounts. My client is looking to find someone who is excited about working in this sector and further develop their expertise.

Liaising with your clients direct you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills both written and oral and work well in a team environment. Providing a high level of customer service is paramount within the profession and applicants must appreciate the value in this.

There will be some travel to clients offices from time to time although most of your time will be office based.
