Tax Senior

An accountancy firm in Newcastle who specialise in delivering tax compliance services to a portfolio of professionals across the UK are seeking a Tax Senior to join their team with relevant experience.

We are looking for a Tax Senior who is ready to take on a higher level of responsibility within tax compliance. With management of your own client portfolio you will be tasked with more technical issues and complex clients, with the ultimate goal of preparing personal tax returns. You will also take the lead on review work for more junior members of the team and provide support and training where necessary.

With some tax matters further technical research will be required and subsequent discussions in person or over the phone with clients to explain such matters so you must be confident with this type of work.

Regular liaison with HMRC and clients, gathering the relevant information for each party will also form part of your role.

The role is office based as you will be supporting a team, with some home working flexibility. Working with a mixture of clients who are Directors and Partners we would look for the individual to have previous exposure with both types of tax returns. This is not a training role and does require previous tax experience. ATT/CTA are desirable but not essential.

The team work well together and you will also find support from the Tax Partner and Tax Managers.
