Practice Accountant

A small yet established sole practitioner accountancy practice based North Tyneside are looking for a Practice Accountant to provide full accounting support to the Partner with their client portfolio.

The opportunity as Practice Accountant will appeal to those who enjoy working in a smaller firm for the benefits that working in a broad role can offer. Whilst there will be plenty of client exposure for you including meetings, the responsibility to win new business will fall upon the Partner. Your role will be to support with the delivery of all accounting services.

The role will include the following:

• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Management accounting
• Bookkeeping, VAT returns and a small element of Director only payrolls.
• Personal Tax returns
• Working with a range of software including Freeagent, Xero and Dext

Whilst the Partner is out with clients you will be working on your own in the office so we are looking for an individual who is happy to work independently and at times on their own.  You will also have the opportunity to visit some clients site assisting them with their management accounting.

The demands of the role require the successful individual to have experience working in an accountancy practice and hold a minimum of 3 years experience. Professional qualifications such as AAT /ACCA / ACA would be an advantage.  You must be a great communicator with enthusiasm.
