AAT Accounts Assistant

A Gateshead accounting firm are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant, either AAT Qualified or by experience in an accountancy firm, to support with their growing portfolio of new clients.

Joining a well established team where a large majority of staff have over 10 years service you will be supporting the Partners with accounts preparation.

We are looking for the successful candidate to be able to perform the following:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Preparation of corporation tax computations
• Preparation of management accounts and VAT Returns.
• Working with Sage and Xero competently supporting clients with the use of these systems for their accounts.

We are looking for an individual from the profession as opposed to industry as a large part of the role is year end accounting and managing multiple clients. Support can be given at a review stage for those who are still on their learning journey.

We are looking for someone local to Gateshead for easy access to the office however a considerable amount of flexibility is offered around working hours and home/office base. It is a perfect role for someone looking to balance home and work life. Or perhaps those working in a part-time role and looking to supplement their income with additional hours.
