Practice Accountant

A small local north-east accountancy practice based just north of Newcastle are looking to recruit a Practice Accountant to their team.

Working in an open-plan office alongside a number of Accountants and support staff you will be responsible for the annual statutory accounts preparation for small to medium sized limited companies. This will include a small amount of bookkeeping and VAT preparation, your colleagues will take care of the tax compliance for you. Accounts will be reviewed by either Manager or Partner and then any amendments needed can be made.

There may be some occasional need to work at clients site, but this is local and most of the accounting work can be done either from the office or home. Staff can either work 5 days in the office of 3 with the remainder at home.

Applicants must have previous or current experience of preparing year end accounts to first draft from an accountancy firm.
