Practice Accountant

An opportunity for those who enjoy working in a varied role within the accountancy profession to join our client in Sunderland as a Practice Accountant supporting the business with both statutory accounting and bookkeeping.

We are looking for an Accountant, either AAT Qualified,  ACCA/ACA part/fully qualified or qualified by experience who is able to support the Partners and Managers with their client portfolio of SME and OMB clients.

The work will be varied and entail preparing full statutory accounts at year end as well supporting with monthly bookkeeping tasks, mainly in the office but will require some client site visits (all local). You must be confident interacting with business owners as well as competent completing a set of accounts for review and happy to get involved in transactional duties. Accounts are based on a variety of systems so exposure to at least one of the following is essential: Quickbooks, Xero, Sage.

For those studying support is provided for you to continue with your ACA/ACCA exams after your probation period as standard.

We are looking for a “hands-on” Accountant with experience working in an accountancy practice who feels ready for a new challenge and enjoys working with business owners.

Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK and the relevant experience.
