We are pleased to be working with a local client in County Durham as they look to appoint a Payroll Specialist to join their friendly and down to earth team on a permanent basis.
Working in a standalone payroll position you will take responsibility for their payroll function from start to finish. We are therefore looking for a Payroll Specialist who has experience either from Industry, an accounting firm or payroll bureau and is able to process multiple payrolls, weekly, fortnightly and monthly.
Whilst multiple payroll experience would be advantageous, as long as you are organised and can cope with a small amount of pressure you will easily be able to adapt. You must be fully knowledgeable on all aspects of payroll to lead on this, however, whilst the position operates standalone there will be other members in the team who can provide you with support and knowledge in the first initial months.
Strong communication skills are required as you will regularly liaise on payroll matters and you must have a strong attention to detail with accuracy to ensure your calculations are correct to ensure the smooth running of payroll and employees salaries.
