A local Chartered Accountancy firm are looking to appoint a Payroll Senior or Payroll Administrator to join their small payroll team on either a full or part-time basis.
Working anywhere between 3 and 5 days depending upon your preference you will bring experience of working in an end to end payroll position.
Your responsibilities will include the following.
- Liaising with a portfolio of clients consisting of local businesses to collate payroll data
- Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll using Sage
- Ensuring accuracy with the payment of staff salaries and associated payroll matters
- Administering all payroll deductions including the administration of pension contributions and PAYE
In addition, a small element to the role will involve administration for the firm with regards to Anti Money Laundering and client engagement letters. Processes are already in place so this element of the role can be trained quite easily.
We are looking for an individual with previous payroll experience, either as part of a wider role or pure payroll. You will ideally be familiar with managing multiple payrolls and the use of Sage. With a good standard or numeracy and attention to detail you will also be a good communicator, able to explain to clients on any payroll queries they may have.
Working out of their local County Durham office there is ample free car parking, flexibility with hours for those seeking part-time and an early finish on a Friday for full-time employees. Whilst not working in a stand-alone role you will have full ownership for your clients and report direct to the Partner group.
