Payroll Senior
£25-28,000pa, DOE 5 or 4 days BGC-2076-PA Permanent
Delighted to be working with a successful independant accounting practice in Newcastle as they look to welcome a Payroll Senior to their growing payroll team.
Joining a well established payroll team who deliver payroll processing services to a number of clients across the UK you will have your own portfolio of clients with responsibility for weekly and monthly payroll, each one varying in size and sector.
The role requires a strong communicator as you will regularly be in conversation with your clients over the telephone and via email as you gather the necessary information to process their payroll and deal with queries they may have. You will be responsible for checking inputs and payrolls prepared by more junior individuals in the team and your experience will equip you to process all elements of payroll including court orders, student loans, auto enrolment and pension deductions. All the necessary filing of payroll data with HMRC is also part of this role.

We are looking for a Payroll Senior who has experience working in a payroll bureau environment and is not phased by handling multiple jobs at the same time. Data accuracy and strong attention to detail is essential in this position as is your ability to be organised and demonstrate your uptodate knowledge with payroll rules and regulations. Ideally you will bring to the position experience of working in an accountancy practice.

Whilst there is a preference for full-time hours (37.5), we would also like to hear from those able to work 4 days.
The firm have a free car park but are also easily accessed via public transport, central to the city centre.
