£25-30,000pa Full-time BGC-01854-OM Fixed Term contract, renewed September 2022
The If U Care Share Foundation saves lives and helps communities by prevention, intervention and support to those affected by suicide. Established in 2005, the tight knit team work tirelessly with passion to listen and offer practical and emotional support to people in distress.
As well as offering help to people when they need it most, they provide mental health training to schools, sports clubs – from grassroots to professional level – and in the workplace.
As demand for their services increase, they are looking to appoint an Office Manager at their premises in Chester-le-Street to oversee the effective management of the day to day operations for the charity.
The role encompasses HR, including recruitment, contracts, staff training, development and appraisals, alongside IT, facilities management, bookkeeping and policy work – health and safety and data protection. Taking responsibility for diary and event management and with further exposure chairing meetings, undertaking research and project management, this presents as an incredibly rewarding opportunity for those that can multi-task and provide versatility in their skill set.
We are looking for an organised and efficient individual who is able to implement effective business processes and standards of performance including the provision of timely financial information to the Trustees and the preparation and management of annual business plans, budgets and forecasts.
Ensuring legal compliance throughout the charity, as well as managing client services, we are seeking an individual with a proven track record of delivering on such responsibilities.
You will be able to demonstrate good leadership and think strategically about the charity’s operation and organisational needs, as well as identify further opportunities to help the charity develop.
We hope to attract an Office Manager with the necessary skills as mentioned above, but one who has a genuine interest in the work that we do and is committed to working at the charity for the long-term.
In what is, without doubt, an incredibly rewarding job, this can at times be pressurised and challenging. For that reason we are looking for an individual who is comfortable working in the mental health environment and passionate about making a difference. Charity experience would be preferred but not essential.
Fixed Term contract, next renewed September 2022.
