Corporate Tax Specialist

A leading accounting practice in the north east of england is looking to appoint a qualified tax professional to support their Partner group with the continued growth of its tax offering to local SME, Owner Managed Business and High Net worth Individuals. 

With a clear path to progression this is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager or experienced Manager with ambition to progress in an award winning accountancy firm.  Undertaking a client facing role we are looking for a strong communicator who is able to develop rapport with clients and hold your own meetings from day one.  Supporting the firms existing portfolio as well as developing your own we are seeking a trusted advisor who has a strong technical knowledge on all aspects of corporate tax. The ability to provide personal tax consultancy would be an advantage but not essential.  

Your role will provide enviable variety: reviewing corporate tax affairs for larger corporates and groups, identifying opportunities to offer services to existing clients alongside winning new work. Advisory projects will include R&D claims, patent box relief, capital allowances, company reorganisations, HMRC enquiries, EIS, share schemes, M&A and much more.  For those with a mixed tax background there are opportunities to get involved with IHT and Trusts. As a member of the senior management team you will be involved in business development and marketing strategies within the firm. 

We are looking for a qualified individual (ACA/ACCA and/or CTA) with a minimum of five years experience working in tax consultancy. You must possess corporate tax knowledge and will most likely be working either with a mid-large tier firm or Big 4.  We are seeking an organised individual with a strong attention to detail. Proven people management skills are a must as is your track record in delivering excellent customer service.
