We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our clients growing accountancy practice based in Gosforth providing bookkeeping services to their portfolio of clients. In what is an Industry based role you will work between the office and your clients premises. As a result we are hoping to find someone who enjoys the independence of working from different locations and of course is mobile across Tyneside.

With this being a new position there is the flexibility for those to work either full or part-time hours and may well fit around other client work you are currently undertaking or even family commitments.

Your day to day work will involve most importantly client communication either face to face on site or via telephone and e-mail. You will work with a mix of cloud and accountancy based software and take responsibility for:

  • Completion of VAT returns
  • Purchase Invoice processing
  • Posting bank transactions and reconciling payments
  • Income statement allocation of codes
  • Cashbook
  • Trial Balance

The role is a perfect for those who enjoy bookkeeping as it provides so much variety, getting to work with different businesses each week so nothing will become the same or boring.

Whilst the role does not offer career progression past bookkeeping there is scope for promotion for those interested as the team grows in size. This is a role best suited to those already in possession of their AAT qualification or simply qualified by experience and not looking for further study.
