£36-39,000pa plus benefits Full or Part-time available BGC-01729-AC Permanent

An Audit Senior role open to both part qualified (ACCA/ACA) and qualified audit professionals in Newcastle who are looking for the opportunity to work across a wide generalist portfolio of businesses with the flexibility to work from home when not on site.
Joining a team of 20 plus similar like minded individuals this presents a fabulous learning environment and chance to climb the ladder of progression as you go about your daily role. A clear path is evident so you know what you need to deliver on to achieve promotion.
Working across the north east of england you will split your time between being out on audit and office/home based. You will work with both small businesses and some more recognised brands ensuring on their systems are robust from reliable financial statements, information and processes to inform their ongoing strategies. You will use your professional skills and experience handling complex audit procedures across a broad range of industries and responsibilities.
As a credible audit advisor your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading fieldwork, managing performance and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements
  • Completing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical and business skills in areas including revenue, financial instruments and income taxes
  • Engaging clients and providing authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions
  • Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues
  • Understanding our clients’ unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in other teams and areas to broaden our business relationships where possible
We are looking for someone who has:
  • ACA/CA/ACCA  qualified or part-qualified
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits (or working towards for part qualified)
  • Proven project management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management
  • Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
  • An awareness of SOX 404 and applying UK GAAP and IFRS
