Audit Assistant Manager

We are working with a large audit firm as they look to appoint an Audit Assistant Manager to their team in Newcastle to support with the delivery of high quality external audit services to a portfolio varying sized clients, in a diverse range of sectors. The ability to understand the clients needs and the risks they face is at the heart of what the firm do and is key to performing high quality audits.

With rapid expansion within the team the position has become available for a qualified Chartered Accountant  ACA / ACCA / ICAS or qualified by the equivalent audit experience.

Working direct with clients and internal stakeholders the opportunity presents a rewarding career path. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring your teams audit planning through to completion meets regulatory standards;

• Completing a variety of areas of audit work which includes the identification of issues, analysis of data, articulation of findings and the ability to draw informed conclusions;

• Building meaningful relationships and demonstrating curiosity that will allow you to have insightful conversations and provide visible challenge during the Audit;

• Delegating to others to provide learning opportunities and coaching to help deliver the most effective audit approach;

• Building connections across teams and specialist areas, managing a variety of views and consulting where appropriate;

• Developing new insights and proposing innovative solutions to help enhance audit quality

Applicants who are part qualified are also welcome to apply but must be time and exam qualified prior to start date. You must be able to demonstrate practical experience of IFRS and/or UK GAAP and international standards on auditing with strong organisational skills and the ability to undertake audits from start to finish.
