Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager / Manager

The Firm:

A regional accountancy firm based in County Durham with a well established portfolio of clients made up predominantly of local businesses, whom they have worked with for a long period of time and become very much their trusted advisors. They are looking to welcome an Audit & Accounts Manager (Assistant Manager also considered) to join their firm.

The Brief:

With the desire to ensure support is in place at all levels of the team and mindful of succession planning in the years to come we are looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Manager (or similar) to fill in on a current gap in the team at the same time as create a promotional route for the successful applicant.

The Role:

With an emphasis upon local businesses and customer service we are looking for a qualified accountant who values working with local clients and enjoys the benefits of being part of an Independant firm.

If you are looking for longer term progression and the chance to improve your knowledge and progress within the firm this offers an excellent opportunity in time to work towards the Audit qualification.

Experience Required:

• Qualified Accountant, ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent
• Experienced Auditor able to plan, perform and lead or supervise on site with audits, preparing files for the authorised RI
• Good solid technical accounting experience able to complete more complex statutory accounts and review
• Experience of Charity accounts would also be preferential but not essential as training could be provided
• Experience of supervising or managing a team of accountants / auditors.
