Accounts Senior

A local accountancy practice based in Gosforth are looking to welcome an Accounts Senior to their relaxed and friendly team as they win new client work.

The opportunity will see the successful Accounts Senior supporting the Partner group with the preparation of statutory accounts to review stage for Limited companies, sole trader and a handful of partnership clients.  Working with a variety of cloud software including Xero and Sage you must be able to competently prepare accounts. You will also be involved in elements of bookkeeping including quarterly VAT returns as well as corporation tax computations.

The position supports those who are actively studying towards their ACCA exams, but doesn’t require a professional qualification as long as you can demonstrate your relevant UK accounting experience from an accountancy firm. The role can accommodate those looking for progression as well as those happy to continue working at this level.

The team work a mix of hybrid giving you the social interaction and any technical support that is needed in the office as well as the flexibility to work from home a couple of days each week.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate proven experience in the following:

• Strong communication skills and an interest in good customer service.
• IT literate and familiar with the use of cloud accounting software.
• Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks whilst achieving deadlines.
• Display a positive, can do attitude with your colleagues and customers.

This position is available on both full and part time (min 3 days) hours and free parking is available for all staff.
