Accounts Senior

A County Durham accountancy firm are looking to appoint an Accounts Senior to support the Partners with the delivery of client accounting services. Based just North of Durham, this is an exciting time to join this growing practice and offers the successful candidate a varied accounting position.

Applicants must have prior experience from an accounting firm, but qualifications are not essential although AAT or ACCA/ACA would be desirable. It is important that applicants can demonstrate a good understanding of accounts in order to prepare a full set of accounts from start to finish as well as work with more junior members training within the team and provide guidance.  You will also complete quarterly VAT returns and work with various software including Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and VT transaction.  Your client portfolio will include small Limited companies, Partnerships and Sole Traders. There will be a small amount of monthly management accounts production and bookkeeping.

As you settle into the role, there will be progression opportunities to take on more responsibilities and work more closely with clients.
