Accounts Semi-Senior AAT Qualified

A fabulous opportunity for those considering their options after AAT qualification to join a well established Newcastle accountancy firm as they look to recruit an Accounts Technician who is ready to further their knowledge and professional exams.

Working alongside one of the Partners you role will be supporting their portfolio with the preparation of first draft (more if experienced) statutory year end accounts for both Limited, Sole trader and Partnership clients across an array of different sectors.

Taking accounts from a trial balance stage, mostly from cloud based software such as Xero and Quickbooks you will gather the necessary documents , complete reconciliations and produce a set of year end accounts.

Whilst applicants must be working on statutory accounting already within an accountancy practice, this role will mentor you on a daily basis to enhance your learning and sit alongside ACCA studies which the firm will fully support you with. This is such a great chance to further your technical and practical experience so you are able to reach a point of independently completing accounts with no amends and ultimately become a qualified accountant.

This position is also open to any accounting professionals who have reached AAT level but don’t wish to study further.

Hybrid working is available, most of the team split their time between home and office although you may benefit in a developing role to be in the office more, certainly in the early stages of your employment.
