Accounts Manager – Director Progression

We are searching for an ambitious Qualified Accountant for this Newcastle Upon Tyne accountancy firm. Capable of overseeing a small accounts team you will be looking to position yourself in an opportunity that can lead to promotion and progression to Director / Partner.

With succession planning in the minds of the existing partnership team they are not only looking for a qualified Accountant to support their work and that of the accounts team, they are keen to employ a professional with a vision to become part of the senior management team.

This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant  (ACA/ACCA) through to an existing Manager who is perhaps “stuck” from further progression.

Day to day you will oversee the running of the accounts team, reviewing work and mentoring staff. The preparation of more complex accounts will remain part of your role alongside supporting the Partners and managing your own small portfolio of SME clients.

As you settle into the role you will become an instrumental part in the day to day leadership of the team as you work closely with the Partners to be able to see what it would be like to occupy that role in the future.

You must be currently working in an accountancy firm, qualified (ACA/ACCA/CTA) with the relevant experience as mentioned above . We are looking for a professional with passion and enthusiasm alongside the communication skills needed to engage with clients.
