Accountant

Within this small friendly accounting practice all the team work together to deliver a range of services to a local portfolio of clients from their base on the western outskirts of Newcastle, close to both Blaydon & Westerhope.

They are looking to welcome an Accountant (Qualified ACCA/ACA preferably, or by experience) with a background in practice who would enjoy working in a smaller firm. With a relaxed office environment they are looking for a friendly and easy going Accountant who can mix well in a small team.

The level of responsibility will be tailored according to your experience, but everyone in the team is involved in all aspects of accounting from VAT returns to year end statutory accounts and personal tax compliance. The client portfolio consists of small to medium sized business, all comfortably under the audit threshold, mainly using Sage and Quickbooks, with the odd one or two still manual. For those with previous experience of meetings you will see accounts through from start to finish including final meetings with clients, discussing end of year accounts and providing business advice as and when required. If you are not quite at this stage of development in your career but would like to be, the Partners will work with you to achieve that goal.
